Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice-President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that centre Marc Chouinard has signed a two-year deal. In keeping with club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Chouinard, 29, played 74 games during the 2005-06 season, recording 14 goals, 16 assists (14-16-30) and 34 penalty minutes. Over his five-year NHL career, Chouinard has played a total of 278 games and tallied 74 points (35-39-74) and 113 penalty minutes. Chouinard was a member of the 2002-03 Anaheim Mighty Ducks team that advanced to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals versus the New Jersey Devils.
The 6’4”, 200 lbs, native of Charlesbourg, Quebec was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets 32nd overall in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.
