Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice-President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that the Canucks have recalled left wing Josh Greenand goaltender Rob McVicarfrom the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.

Green, 27, has played in nine games for the Moose this season, accumulating ten points (4-6-10) and eight penalty minutes. The 6’3”, 225-pound forward spent last season with Manitoba, recording 40 points (21-19-40) in the regular season and 14 points (9-5-14) in 14 post-season games. Green is a nine-year NHL veteran who has played in 232 games. The Camrose, Alberta native has recorded 29 goals and 32 assists for a total of 61 points along with 154 penalty minutes during his NHL career. Green has never dressed for a game as a Vancouver Canuck.

McVicar, 23, has played three games for Manitoba during the 2005-06 AHL season. McVicar has posted two wins, a goals against average of 2.25 and 68 saves this season. The 2005-06 season marks McVicar’s third season with the Moose. The Brandon-native was acquired by the Vancouver Canucks in the 6th round, 151st overall in the 2002 NHL entry draft.
