Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice-President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that the Canucks have re-signed forwards Daniel and Henrik Sedin to new one-year contracts. In keeping with club policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

"We are pleased to have Henrik and Daniel under contract for another year," said Dave Nonis. "The twins are talented, quality people who have shown continuous improvement in all aspects of their game since joining the Canucks. We expect them to take on more responsibility this season and we are extremely excited to have this deal in place."

Daniel Sedin, 24, joined his brother in Sweden during 2004-05 as a member of Modo of the Swedish Elite League where he finished fourth in team scoring with 33 points (13-20-33) in 49 regular season games.
