Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that goaltender Drew MacIntyre has been re-assigned to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.
MacIntyre, 24, played in his second NHL game on January 29 versus Dallas, making 10 saves on 11 shots in 33:48 minutes of work. The 6-foot-0, 185 lbs. goaltender made his NHL debut with the Vancouver Canucks on December 13, 2007 at San Jose, stopping nine of 11 shots in 27 minutes of work. He has played in 28 games for the Moose this season, posting a record of 16-11-1. MacIntyre has registered one shutout and a goals against average of 2.30. The Charlottetown, P.E.I. native ranks tied for fourth in the AHL in wins. His play this season earned him a spot in the AHL All-Star game, marking his first career appearance at the event.
MacIntyre was acquired from Detroit in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2007 Entry Draft on September 12, 2006.
