Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that left wing Jason Jaffray and defenceman Nathan McIver have been re-assigned to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.

Jaffray, 26, has played in 24 games for the Moose, recording 25 points (12-13-25) and 43 penalty minutes. He also appeared in 14 games this season with Vancouver, recording two goals and three assists. Jaffray recorded his first career NHL goal and assist in his NHL debut against the Anaheim Ducks on December 12th.

The 6’1”, 205 lbs. native of Olds, Alberta, signed with the Canucks July 3, 2007.

McIver, 23, has recorded four points (2-2-4) and 65 penalty minutes in 29 games with the Moose this year. He has also posted a plus/minus rating of plus eight thus far this season. McIver has played in three games for the Canucks in 2007-08.

McIver, made his NHL debut during the 2006-07 season, playing one game with the Canucks. The 6-foot-2, 205 lbs. native of Summerside, Prince Edward Island played 63 games with the Moose last season, recording 139 penalty minutes.

McIver was originally drafted by Vancouver 254th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
